The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary standard that allows the tracking and verification of the content of recycled materials in final products. This standard covers the entire supply chain and focuses on traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling.
Applies to processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trade and distribution of products with a minimum of 20% recycled material. Third-party certification covers recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.
